Argentinian Wine Regions
MENDOZA
The Mendoza Region of Argentina is on the far western side
of Argentina in the shadows of the Andes Mountains. Mendoza
is directly across the Andes from the Chilean winegrowing region.
Mendoza is a semi-arid climate, but enjoys an ample supply
of water provided by snow melt from the Andes mountains. With
elevations ranging from 1600-6400 above sea level, these mountain
vineyards see warm, dry summers characterized by moderate
daytime temperatures and cooler temperatures at night.
