Barbaresco
Barbaresco wine is made from Nebbiolo grapes grown on the hillsides of 4 villages in the Langhe around Alba. Its finer, more refined qualities are highlighted by ageing in oak casks, and great elegance and appeal make it a very versatile match for a wide range of dishes. Colour: garnet red with orange highlights. Nose: violets, intense and ethereal. Taste: dry, with soft tannins; fine and elegant; a big wine, but smooth and well-balanced.
