SERAFINI E VIDOTTO
(Veneto, Italy)

Over ten years ago, Francesco Serafini and Antonello Vidotto took assumed control of  a rocky vineyard which had been cultivated by the monks of the Abbey Nervesa for hundreds of years. They believed that they could make world class Bordeaux wines from the Abbey's sloping vineyards off the banks of the Piave river in Venezia. By using existing old vines, replanting using indigenously cultivated clones, employing only organic fertilizers, and handpicking grapes, Serafini & Vidotto produce that have achieved critical acclaim.

Il Rosso dell’Abazia

Their flagship red, Il Rosso dell'Abazia  has won Tre Bicchierri 6 times in the space of 8 years for the '93-98 vintages and the 2000 vintage. Their extreme attention to vineyard care coupled with their new state of the art winery allows them use traditional techniques with modern technology to produce flawless bordeaux. The Rosso dell'Abazia is a traditional Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc and aged in French Oak.
