MAZZOLINO- Bonarda Mazzolino

Made from 100% Bonarda (also called Croatina), this wine is prized because of its uniqueness. The Bonarda grape is a local varietal that has been cultivated for centuries in Oltrepo Pavese. This wine is stainless steel fermented, the duration of which is determined by taste, in order to capture the right body and freshness. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is cold stabilized and matures for 6 months in Stainless steel. The wine is then bottled and will continue to age in the bottle. Mazzolino is a bright, ruby red wine with aromas reminiscent of wild berries, cherries and spices. It is medium bodied with an almond finish. The total production is 12,000 bottles per year.
