LLICORELLA
In the southern half of the province of Tarragona, the lands of Priorat are rugged with vines grown on the terraced hillsides. The soil is the most distinct element of this region, with its poor, rocky and volcanic nature that has formed small shards of slate or “llicorella” which gives this wine its name. This soil has low water retention, forcing the roots of the vines to dig deep for nutrients. All of these elements contribute to the intense minerality of the wines from this area.

Priorat
From extremely low production Garnacha and Mazuela vines of over 60 years of age, we have this extremely special selection of Priorat. The Garnacha and Mazuela grapes are blended with small amounts of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, each fermenting separately for 22 days. They are aged in French and American Oak before being bottled unfiltered. With a deep cherry color with garnet reflections, its flavors are reminiscent of ripe red fruits with mineral tones. On the palate, its meaty and powerful with grassy notes and mature tannins.
