Rosso di Rosso
Rosso di Rosso is obtained from a blend of Merlot and Cabernet
Sauvignon grapes, the first of which are hand-picked in late
September – sometimes on the 15th, an “historic” date
as it is the producer’s
birthday –
while the latter are harvested in early October. The wine
is made in wooden vats using traditional methods that respect
the characteristics of the grape varieties. It is kept in
French oak barrels in order to maintain its deep colour and
heighten its evocative aroma. Like Bianco di Rosso, the wine
remains unfiltered to avoid
any distillation of its natural richness.
