La Fiorita

a project began between 3 friends who were
passionate about the wines of Montalcino, Roberto Cipresso,
Lucio Gomiero and Tiziano Siviero. Their goal was to produce
wines that were indicative of the terroir and the personality
of the vintage. Their first vintages produced less than 1000
bottles and upon its extreme success, they decided that they
needed at least a slight increase in production. The vineyards
now total 7 hectares of Sangiovese. The winery is located
in an converted frantoio or olive oil factory in Castelnuovo
di Abate, facing Val d’Orcia, just 9 kilometers south
of Montalcino. |
