dated XII^ Century gives its name to the farm and wine company that extend for 638 hectares south-east of the Siena’s province. A careful study of the “terroir” and of the morphological conditions has enabled Castello di Modanella to identify the most suitable areas for grape production. Both authoctons and international grapes are grown in the 22 hectares of vineyards.
